Queen
Elizabeth National park is the paradise for any intending bird watcher.
with over 600 bird species recorded, this park boasts of the greatest
number of bird species than any other nature reserve in Uganda with
additional bonus migrant birds which visit the park . They park has the
highest bio-diversity raring than any other nature reserves in the
world from lowland forests, open woodland and grassland savannah to
wetlands hence attracting various kinds of bird species from the small
ones like: fly catchers, malachite king fishers, black rumbled button
quail to the big ones like: the Verreax eagle owl, saddle billed
storks, lesser flamingos, sacred ibis and lots more. Every will bring a
different glimpse in the eyes of bird watchers in this park due to the
number of bird species and various parts of the park you can visit each

Semliki
Valley wildlife reserve has a recorded 350 bird species with new
discoveries still being made. its the best place to see the famous shoe
bill and other birds like red necked falcon and the abyssinian ground
hornbill. Mugiri river in the park also offers great bird watching
opportunities. night bird watching can be arranged for early bookings.

Kibaale forest national park has a recorded 330 bird species that inhabits its evergreen forests and the wet lands at
Bigodi. African pitta,Uganda woodland wabbler,grey throated fly
catchers, and pied horn bills can all be found in this park. All

Bwindi
Forest national park is famous as home of over half the remaining
mountain gorillas in the world. Trekking deep into its medium altitude
forest while in search of the gorillas create a great bird watching
experience .The park inhabits 23 of the 24 albertine rift endemics like
the Rwenzori turacco, purple breasted sunbird, African green broadbill
and Rwenzori nightjars plus lots more.Accomodation available to suit

Lake
Mburo national park has an extensive wetland vegetation which
inhabits some wetland birds like the papyrus yellow wabler and yellow
papyrus gonolek. The open vegetation also creates a wider spectrum for
bird watchers and a perfect place to see ground hornbills too.
